The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Tomislav Momirović, and his associates met today in a camp of the company Taşyapı its owner Emrullah Turanli and regional director Amirmehdi Asghari on which occasion they discussed the progress of works on the section Sremska Rača - Kuzmin.
Momirović and Turnali visited construction site of the bridge over river Sava at Sremska Rača on the motorway Sremska Rača - Kuzmin, on which, as mentioned at the meeting, the works are being carried out effectively since the very beginning of construction, with application of new technologies and at the satisfactory pace.
There are ongoing concrete works on construction of substructure and superstructure of the bridge over river Sava, on the main and approach structures. Up to now, 33 piers have been constructed, including one river pier, and construction of the other is in the progress. The bridge contains app. 5,500 cubic meters of steel material which is being produced in plants in Istanbul and transported by trucks to the construction site. Before long, waterproofing and asphalt fabrication and bridge equipping will be carried out. The closed drainage system, electric power and telecommunication installations will be also placed on the bridge.
,,We are on the future motorway Belgrade - Sarajevo, and today, when we’re travelling from Belgrade to Sarajevo, we have to count on five and a half hours of driving. In order to speed up the works, we have, on our part, assumed construction of the entire 1320 meters long bridge on the river Sava, and the entire section on the side of the Republic of Serbia is 18 kilometers long. As a gentleman from the supervisory body said, this is a scholarly example of how bridges are constructed”, emphasized Mr. Momirović.
He added that the works are executed according to the scheduled timeline and that their quality is exceptional, as well as that the preparatory works on road alignment from Kuzmin to Sremska Rača have commenced and will continue in the following weeks, upon completion of the main design. The Minister appealed to all citizens living on locations where huge infrastructural projects are carried out to have patience and understanding, since the goal of this offensive pace of works on building Serbia is exactly the improvement and increase of life standard through the economic growth.
Emurlah Turnali, the owner of the Taşyapı, thanked to the Serbian Government and the Minister Momirović, and said that Taşyapı will execute this project in the best possible way.
According to the words of a supervisory body, Mr. Dragan Jocić, on this construction site, all young engineers from Serbia meet the state-of-the-art construction technology and approach in bridge construction, which will undoubtedly allow them to gain new knowledge and skills.
The fact which makes this construction undertaking unique in the country is that the construction of bridge over river Sava includes for the first time in the territory of Serbia a usage of robots and special lasers for removal of dirt from steel, which is helpful in achieving an exceptional quality of steel bridge construction.
