PE “Roads of Serbia” is informing that during the summer season (July – September 2019) 12,577,351 vehicles in total used the Serbian highways, while the toll payment revenue was 6,191,036,730.49 dinars, which is higher by 962,618,408.24 dinars, i.e. 18.41% than the same period last year.
The increase of traffic flow was definitely influenced by the opening of two new highways, the highway through Grdelica and the highway“Miloš Veliki”.
We would like to point out that, since 15th June, when the highway through Grdelica was opened, i.e. since the beginning of the closed system road tolling on the section Niš-Preševo, 2,046,323 vehicles in total have used the highway.
The last August weekend saw 635,882 recorded vehicles on the highways, out of which the largest increase of traffic flow in comparison with the same period last year was on frontal toll stations: Preljina – 48%; Šid – 12.51%; Doljevac – 11.74% and Preševo – 8.44%.
The significant increase of traffic flow on the Preljina toll station is the result of the opening and the start of the closed system road tolling on the new highway “Miloš Veliki”.
