PE “Roads of Serbia” is informing that the Sector for Toll Collection will intensify the work on toll stations during the upcoming summer season in order to provide unobstructed passing of the vehicles due to intensified traffic on motorways in the Republic of Serbia.
For the purpose of faster flow of vehicles, prevention of delays and more efficient work all gates for toll collection and tickets distribution will be operational 24 hours a day without a minute of break, which is why the number of toll booth operators is increased and Special working regime of the technical department is organized so that potential sudden malfunctions could be eliminated as soon as possible.
Information for the drivers to prepare exact amount of money for paying toll are placed on visible places, written in English, German and Turkish in addition to Serbian. Toll booth operators are provided with sufficient amount of small banknotes and coins for the change.
Paricipants in traffic will be duly informed on the motorway gantries about potential waiting on toll stations, traffic closures, pavement condition, weather conditions and other necessary information.
Toll can be paid in dinars (owners of vehicles with national and foreign license plates), in euro (owners of vehicles with foreign license plates), by payment cards and by electronic toll collection (TAG device, without stopping).
Electronic toll collection is becoming increasingly popular on our motorways. This modern model of toll payment by using TAG devices significantly reduces travel time because it enables vehicles to pass without stopping on dedicated toll lanes which exist on all major toll stations in the Republic of Serbia. About 100,000 TAG devices are presently active in the toll collection system. The number of users increased by 50 percent in 2016.
PE “Roads of Serbia” organizes the selling and recharging of TAGs from one location via its distribution network which includes petrol stations NIS Gasprom, OMV and EuroPetrol, AMSS offices and Tehnokop. TAGs are sold and recharged on 60 selling points which are located along all motorway sections in Serbia, on border crossings and in all bigger towns.
PE “Roads of Serbia” equipped all toll stations with first aid kits on which there is a trained person for giving first aid at every moment, 00-24.
Drinking water is provided on all toll stations in the Republic of Serbia.
Since reactions are slower and perceiving is weaker when the temperatures are high, all participants in traffic are kindly asked to be careful, to pay attention to the road works, to adapt their speed to the road conditions, to obey speed limits and the existing traffic signage.
PE “Roads of Serbia” wishes a safe journey to all participants in traffic!
