APPEAL

"Roads of Serbia" appeals to all road users to be especially careful and to adjust their speed to the conditions on the road, because, according to the warning of the Republic Hydro meteorological Institute, in the lower areas of Timočka and Negotin Krajina from tonight, February 9, 2026, until Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026, the formation of a snow cover of 5 to 15 cm in depth is expected, and on the mountains locally and with more ice. In other parts of Serbia, during the same period, a smaller snow cover may form temporarily.

Also, according to the Hydrometeorological Institute`s warning, in the morning, evening and night hours in the region of Pomoravlje and Homolje on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, rain is expected locally that will freeze on the ground.

According to the warning, in the south of Banat and in the lower Danube region, this afternoon, February 9, 2026, as well as during the night and tomorrow, February 10, 2026, the gusts will reach from 70 to 100 km/h, and in the area of ​​Belgrade about 50 km/h.

On Wednesday and Thursday, February 11th and 12th, 2026, the Koshava wind will continue to blow with somewhat reduced intensity (in the south of Banat and in the lower Danube with gusts of 60 to 85 km/h, and in Belgrade around 40 km/h). The Koshava wind is forecasted to stop on Friday, February 13, 2026.

We appeal to road users to use winter tires, not to set off on the road without winter equipment and chains, to drive carefully, respect speed limits and adjust speed to road conditions.
