The presentation of the Winter Service Plan 2025/2026 and the media conference on the occasion of the start of the winter maintenance of state roads, the organization of personnel, resources and machinery and the system of informing the media, the public and all interested parties about the condition of the roads during the winter period was held on October 28, 2025 in Hotel M, in Belgrade.
- According to the Winter Service Plan for 2025/2026. available: 815 road vehicles and trucks, 338 machines and 2,329 workers in one shift, of which:
998 workers - road workers
178 technicians
338 machinists
815 drivers.
The 2025/2026 winter service plan was presented in front of JP "Roads of Serbia" by Zoran Stojisavljević, Executive Director of the Sector for the Maintenance of State Roads of I and II Category, and Ljerka Ibrović, the Head of the Department for Public Relations.
Those present were also addressed by Srđan Anđelković on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Vladan Nikolić, Assistant Head of the Traffic Police Directorate in the Ministry of Interior, Goran Nikolić, Assistant Head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Slobodan Sovilj, Head of the National Hydrometeorological Institute Early Warning System Department, Branko Stamatović, acting Director of the Agency for Traffic Safety, Nebojša Jeftić, Director of the Help and Information Sector of the Automotive Association of Serbia and Marina Rusić in the name of the Information Center of PE "Putevi Srbije"
With the start of the 2025/2026 Winter Service, PE "Roads of Serbia" promoted new educational campaigns at the same press conference:
- With slogan "Use winter equipment! Don't let winter take the wheel!" PE "Roads of Serbia" wants to influence road users to use winter equipment that is obligatory by the Law on Road Traffic Safety and by-laws, in the period from November 1 to April 1, of the following year, if there is snow, ice and ice on the road.
- With slogan "Winter service works for you! Drive patiently!" PE "Roads of Serbia" wants to influence the behavior of road users to be more careful and adjust their driving so as not to interfere with the operation of winter maintenance vehicles.
On this occasion, Ljerka Ibrović addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance and role that the use of winter equipment has on the safe flow of traffic if there is snow, ice and ice on the road. She also appealed to road users to be careful and adjust their driving so as not to interfere with the operation of winter maintenance vehicles and cause a traffic accident with their irresponsible behavior.
Acting Director of the Agency for Traffic Safety, Branko Stamatović in his speech firstly praised all the efforts and commitment of all services and people involved in winter road maintenance, adding that this synergy is what is necessary when it comes to traffic safety.
