12.10.19. New border crossing Rabe open on the state border with Hungary

PE “Roads of Serbia” would like to inform that 11.10.2019, new border crossing Rabe was open on the border with Hungary.

The event was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić, Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and the PE “Roads of Serbia”.

Road rehabilitation is a part of joint infrastructural project between Serbia and Hungary – “Development of a Road Border Crossing at Kübekháza - Rabe area”, co-financed from the EU Interreg IPA Funds.

The project was implemented through the cooperation among the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, PE “Roads of Serbia”, PE “Urban Institute of Vojvodina” and the Hungarian National Infrastructure Agency. 

PE “Roads of Serbia” performed the rehabilitation of II B category state road no. 302, from the settlement Rabe to the state border with Hungary in the length of 1,366m thus enabling to open a new joint border crossing with Hungary.

New border crossing will improve the mobility, quality of transport, support economic activities of the residents and strengthen the economies of border settlements at the three-border point of Hungary, Serbia and Romania.
