The President of the Board of Directors of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers and the Head of the Department for Planning Documentation of "Putevi Srbije", Veljko Bojović, participated in the meeting of the Engineering Initiative for Regional Cooperation, held on April 24, 2026 in Belgrade, organized by the Serbian Chamber of Engineers.
The meeting was dedicated to the topic of digitalization in the field of spatial and urban planning, design and construction, with a special focus on the application of modern digital tools, improvement of the regulatory framework and exchange of good practices in the region.
In addition to representatives of the Engineering Chamber of Serbia, regional engineering chambers from North Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria, as well as representatives of relevant European, state and professional institutions, took part.
In his address, Bojović emphasized the importance of improving the profession through the application of modern technologies and continuous harmonization with legislation, stressing that cooperation at the regional level is of key importance for the further development of infrastructure projects and more efficient management of planning documentation.
It was concluded that the further development of digital tools and the cretion of joint databases at the regional level is of exceptional importance for the improvement of cooperation, exchange of knowledge and more efficient implementation of projects.
