The journey towards business excellence at “Putevi Srbije” LLC has been ongoing for more than 15 years and represents a modern approach to management through the strengthening of management systems, with the aim of adapting to the influence of various factors and achieving continuous growth and development.

The Department for Integrated Management Systems and Business Support Systems is primarily responsible for aligning, integrating and strengthening the Company’s business system through business support activities that include:

• Leadership and strategy – establishing the vision, mission, values and ethical principles, establishing and developing integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 39001, ISO 50001, etc.), strengthening and improving organisational culture, defining general and strategic objectives, understanding the needs of stakeholders and internal performance, and ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, plans, procedures, etc.
• Establishment and monitoring of business goals implementation – establishment and monitoring the key process parameters, monitoring the implementation of the company’s operational goals, etc.
• Processes – modelling, analysis and optimisation of operational processes, strengthening of connections, processes and cross-sectoral cooperation.
• Employee development and empowerment – organising and conducting employee training, employee care and support, empowerment and motivation, encouraging employees, teamwork, and fostering a sense of belonging to the Company, etc.
• Establishing and strengthening internal communications – supporting and improving internal electronic communication, managing the platform for information sharing, communication, knowledge exchange, and the presentation of employees and their areas of work on the Intranet portal, creating visual elements and the identity of internal communications.
• Projects - monitoring IT and business projects, structuring data, developing digital forms, etc.
• Presentation of professional expertise, activities and business operations - managing content on the LinkedIn business network and distributing business-related content to stakeholders.
• Business analytics visualisation of process maps, analysis of reports on objectives and the Company’s internal and external issues, monitoring the implementation of measures, etc.

Integrated Management Systems at “Putevi Srbije” LLC

Implementation of the ISO 9001 – Quality Management System standard at “Putevi Srbije” LLC began in 2010, and the Company was certified to this standard in 2012.

The integrated management systems at “Putevi Srbije” LLC began to develop with the implementation of the ISO 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard, in cooperation with the Department for Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Protection as the standard owner. Building on ISO 9001, this system was further developed through internal consulting, successfully certified and subsequently transitioned to ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

In the meantime, “Putevi Srbije” LLC was also certified to ISO 39001 – Road Traffic Safety Management System. The Department for Integrated Management Systems and Business Support Systems provided support to the Department for Road Safety in implementing the standard. 

Certification to ISO 50001 – Energy Management System was also successfully achieved, with the system partially integrated into the existing management system. The Department for Energy Management is responsible for maintaining and improving this system, with the support of the Department for Integrated Management Systems and Business Support Systems.

The Integrated Management System has proven to be the most effective management approach for simultaneously restructuring the organisation, reducing costs, increasing productivity and profitability, and ensuring the organisation’s long-term sustainable development.

It is important to emphasise that employees of “Putevi Srbije” LLC support the implementation of standards through continuous professional development and regular monitoring of developments in the standards relevant to their respective areas of work.

Quality Oscar Award alongside the Development of the IMS

The Department for Integrated Management Systems and Business Support Systems is strongly committed to carrying out all activities related both to integrated management systems and to providing business support to the Company. In this way, “Putevi Srbije” LLC maintains a strong presence in the field of integrated management systems and demonstrates its business excellence within the professional community. Further evidence of this good practice is provided by the three National Business Excellence Awards – “Quality Oscar” – received during the implementation of the integrated management systems, as follows:

- in 2020, in the category “Excellence Champion for Public Enterprises“,
- in 2017, in three categories: “Partnership and Resources“, “Customer Results“ and “Strategy”
- in 2014, in the category “Partnership and Resources”.

These awards demonstrate that “Putevi Srbije” LLC continuously works on the development and improvement of its integrated management systems and processes, while fostering all aspects of business excellence.
