CONSTRUCTION OF BYPASS AROUND UŽICE

Works on the Bypass around Užice, on the section of state road IB ow no. 28 from the town of Surduk to the town of Volujac, continue as planned.

The project envisages the construction of a new, two-lane road that will connect state road I B row no. 23, section Užice - Zlatibor and state road IB row no. 28, section: Užice - Bajina Bašta.

The construction of the Bypass around Užice, which is 4.85 kilometers long, is a major engineering undertaking, as the construction of 8 bridges and 23 retaining walls is planned for the section.

The section will have two lanes of 3.25 m width each, with two edge lanes of 0.35 m each and banks of 1.50 m width, on both sides of the road.

 

The projected permitted vehicle speed on the Ring Road is 60 km/h.

Work is underway on the construction of the bridge over the Djetinja River, which is the most important facility on the Ring Road around Užice. It is an arched bridge 290 meters long, with an arch span of 160 meters, the height of the upper elevation of the bridge, in relation to the level of the river, will be 90 meters.

 

Construction work is currently underway on the access road for the arch foundation on the right side, while the road for the arch foundation on the left side has been completed.
