The Bypass around Svilajnac is a significant infrastructure project and one of the most important investments for the citizens and economy of this part of Serbia.
The new road bridge over the Velika Morava river will be part of the future Bypass around Svilajnac.
Work on the construction of the new road bridge has been intensified, and pile-driving works are currently being carried out at the S5 pile site. A total of four pile sites will be built on the right bank of the Velika Morava, where 21 piles will be driven, with depths ranging from 15 to 23 meters.
Reinforced concrete wells will also be constructed at the S5 pile site, which will serve to construct the main beams at the pile sites in the river. On the left bank of the Velika Morava, work has been completed on the construction of a reinforced concrete well, which will enable the construction of the main beam at the S4 pillar site.
Work has also continued on the construction of the road embankment, approximately 750 meters long, on the Markovac side.
A roundabout is planned at the intersection of the I B Category State Road No. 27 (Markovac-Svilajnac) and the future Svilajnac Bypass.
On the right bank of the Velika Morava, after the completion of the pile-driving works for the new road bridge, work will continue on the construction of the road, approximately 2.5 kilometers long, to the intersection with Visokog Stevana Street in Svilajnac.
The new bridge will be intended for road traffic. It is about 300 meters long and 12.7 meters wide, consisting of three sections, and will feature two lanes for traffic in both directions.
Upon completion of the entire Bypass, a connection will be established between Svilajnac and the E75 highway at the Markovac toll station, which will significantly contribute to the traffic connectivity not only of Svilajnac, but also of the entire Pomoravlje region with other parts of Serbia.
