PE “Roads of Serbia” continuously implements road safety and security measures and carries out a series of activities in order to improve the level of safety of road users.
Special attention is paid to tunnels and tunnel zones and the supervision and management of traffic in tunnel and tunnel zones is carried out from the six Operational Management Centers in the Republic of Serbia.
From the Operational Management Center Munjino Brdo, the monitoring of the two, at present, longest tunnels in the Republic of Serbia, Laz and Munjino Brdo, is carried out.
Employees of PE "Roads of Serbia" from the control center continuously, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, take care of the safety of road users.
Ivan Terzić, assistant executive director of the Sector for Traffic Control Information Systems, emphasizes the importance of the system for video detection of incidents and early detection of incidents: "The system covers the entire tunnel and extraordinary events are detected in a few seconds, operators receive information and react also in a few seconds."
