PE “Roads of Serbia” is appealing to all traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions, because, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia, today, in the afternoon and the evening of 05.02.2020, new 5 to 10 cm of snow are expected in the mountainous regions of southwestern, southern and southeastern Serbia.
Smaller amounts of snowfall are expected in the lower regions.
A strong, gale-force northwesterly wind will create conditions for the formation of snow drifts in the mountains, but it will gradually calm down as of Thursday, 06.02.2020.
Maintenance crews are on site and ready to act if necessary.
We advise drivers to use winter tyres, obey speed limits and adapt their speed to the winter road conditions.
