State road section Kragujevac-Batočina opened to traffic

The Acting Director of the PE „Roads of Serbia“ Zoran Drobnjak has today, together with the mayor of Batočina municipality, visited finishing works on the road section Kragujevac – Batočina, and on that occasion  stated that by completion of fast road passing through Batočina, this town and Kragujevac became connected with the motorway.

The Acting Director of the PE „Roads of Serbia“ Zoran Drobnjak  has said that he hasn't visited Batočina only for completion of section 4.5 km long, which construction is just a routine for construction workers, but also to point out forthcoming activities.

Drobnjak specified that realization of new designs is in progress, and new interchange is under construction, as well as toll station in Batočina which is planned to be significantly larger and closer to the town. Works on extension of toll station will commence in spring, Drobnjak emphasized, and added that preparation of designs regarding construction of fast road connecting Kragujevac with Morava Corridor via Mrčajevci is in progress. „This design should be prepared by March, whereupon contractors will be selected, and after that the construction activities may commence”.

The mayor of Batočina municipality Zdravko Mladenović has assessed that completion of works on this road represent a significant day for the municipality, because the road is an impulse for attraction of new investors.

Construction of section through Batočina, 4.5 kilometers long, with daily traffic numbering 12,000 cars, cost 1,1 billion dinars allocated from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, and this fast, state-of-art road will ensure safe driving from Kragujevac to motorway.
