Putevi Srbije reminds the public that a ban on the movement of vehicles with a total weight exceeding 12 tons has been in force for five years on the bridge over the Danube, located on the category I B state road number 47 — the Pančevački Bridge.
Adequate traffic signage has been placed on the bridge, all access roads, as well as along the city street corridors designated by the project as alternative routes for this category of vehicles.
The traffic signs were installed in accordance with the traffic signalization project, which was approved by the relevant Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, as well as the City Secretariat for Traffic, with the consent of "Roads of Belgrade".
Despite the posted signage, vehicles with a total weight of over 12 tons frequently disregard the restrictions and continue to use the bridge.
"Roads of Serbia" informs the public that in the coming period, the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Traffic Police will step up traffic control in the Pančevački Bridge area as part of an action to increase traffic safety in the City of Belgrade.
Roads of Serbia appeals to all traffic participants, with a special emphasis on truck drivers, to strictly obey the posted traffic signage, adjust their speed to road conditions, and act responsibly toward themselves and others.
