The construction of the Northern Bypass around Kragujevac is proceeding according to the planned dynamics.
On the first phase of the project, on a section about 5 km long, 99% of the works have been completed. At the same time, intensive work is being carried out on the second and third phases of construction, where more than 50% of the excavations and embankments have been completed.
Works are being carried out on 11 out of a total of 13 bridges. The construction of piles and columns has been completed, and work is currently underway to install longitudinal girders on the three longest bridges. The total length of all bridges is about 2.5 km.
The future expressway will be 22 km long and designed for speeds of up to 100 km/h, which will contribute to safer and more efficient traffic flow. As part of the project, the construction of 5 traffic interchanges is planned, as well as a total of 24 infrastructure facilities - 14 bridges, 5 overpasses and 5 underpasses.
The northern Bypass will significantly relieve traffic through Kragujevac, improve the connection of the city with the main road routes and contribute to faster and safer transport of people and goods.
