AGREEMENT ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SECTION OF STATE ROAD I B CATEGORY NO. 28, DUB - DUBCI WITH THE KADINJAČA TUNNEL SIGNED

Contract on the Construction of the section of the state road Dub - Dubci with a tunnel under the "Kadinjača" pass, in the Government of Serbia, on September 14, 2026, signed by the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijević, acting director of Putevi Srbije Zoran Drobnjak and representative of the Chinese company “Powerchina” Fang Mingi.

The project includes the construction and reconstruction of the section Dub - Dubci, about 6.3 km long, as well as the construction of the Kadinjača tunnel, about 1260 m long. According to the project documentation, two connections to Bajina Bašta and Užice, six bridges with a total length of about 960 m and a number of other engineering structures are planned.

The future section will connect state road I B order number 28, direction Mali Zvornik - Ljubovija - Užice - Kremna - border with Bosnia and Herzegovina (Kotroman), with highway E -761 and will represent an important place in the road network of the western part of Serbia and the border zone with the Republic of Srpska.

The construction of a new section and tunnel will shorten the road between Užice and Bajina Bašta by 6 km, it will be a continuation of the bypass around Užice, which will significantly improve the connection between Užice and Bajina Bašta, but also increase the safety and passability of traffic through Kadinjača.

By building this road and tunnel, conditions are created for better accessibility of the entire region, increasing its competitiveness, as well as the future development of the region of southwestern Serbia, and therefore Užice and Bajina Bašta, both through the attraction of new investments and the development of existing economic zones.

The planned corridor will attract new investments and create new jobs, so it will have a huge impact on the overall economic development of the Republic of Serbia.
