CONSTRUCTION OF BYPASS AROUND UZICE

Works on the Bypass around Užice, on the section of state road of I B category number 28, from the town of Surduk to the town of Volujac, are taking place in accordance with the planned dynamics.

The project envisages the construction of a new, two-lane road that will connect state road I B category number 23, section Užice - Zlatibor and state road IB category number 28, section: Užice - Bajina Bašta.

The construction of the Bypass around Užice, 4.85 kilometers long, is a significant and demanding infrastructure project.

Considering that the route extends through a distinct cut, currently, on certain parts of the route, pile drilling works are underway in preparation for the construction of retaining walls that will ensure the stability of the road.

The construction of the Bypass around Užice and the relocation of freight and passenger traffic will reduce the traffic load in the city. By reducing the traffic transport and the number of heavy vehicles in the city, the safety of all road users will increase and the level of air pollution in the city will decrease.

New footage of the construction, with a statement from Slobodan Božović, the main and responsible contractor, can be viewed at the LINKU.
