TRAFFIC SAFETY CARAVAN ON KOPAONIK

The Traffic Safety Caravan started its summer tour of Serbia's tourist centers on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Sports Valley on Kopaonik mountain.

Organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs alongside its partners—Roads of Serbia, the Traffic Safety Agency, the Automobile Association of Serbia, the Red Cross of Serbia, the Olympic Committee of Serbia, and the NAVAK Academy, with support from local governments—the Traffic Safety Caravan has entered its third season this year.

"Through games and education, we are changing the awareness of children, young people, and adults regarding the importance of obeying traffic regulations. Since the project began in 2024, we have visited 50 local governments. Our goal is to help our country rank among the ten safest in Europe," said Slaviša Lakićević, Head of the Traffic Police Administration.

According to Lakićević, traffic safety trends are positive, with 25 fewer fatalities compared to the same period last year.

The caravan continues its journey across Serbia, aiming to promote responsible road behavior through the joint efforts of institutions and partners, improve overall traffic safety, and reduce the number of traffic accidents.
