PE "Roads of Serbia" appeals to all road users to be especially careful and to adapt their speed to the conditions on the road, because, according to the warning of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute, today, on January 9th, 2026, in the afternoon and evening, mixed precipitation, snow and rain are expected, which will first freeze to the ground in Vojvodina, western, southwestern and eastern Serbia, and then also in the east of the country.
In the Belgrade area, rain is expected later in the afternoon, which will freeze to the ground tonight and during the night in some parts of the city.
Tomorrow, on January 10th, 2026, year, in areas south of the Sava and Danube, a small increase in the height of the snow cover, while in the southwest, south and southeast of Serbia, 10 to 15 cm of new snow is locally expected, and in mountainous areas, even more.
We appeal to road users to use winter tires, not to set off on the road without winter equipment and chains, to drive carefully, respect speed limits and adjust speed to road conditions.
