Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, prof. Zorana Mihajlović, PhD., together with the Acting Director of the PE "Roads of Serbia", Zoran Drobnjak, and representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Contractors and Supervisors, has visited the newly-constructed bridge over the Podvrška river at Milutinovac in the Kladovo municipality and rehabilitation works on I B category state road no.35 Kladovo - Brza Palanka.
The bridge at Milutinovac, 80 metres long and 11 metres wide, was opened for traffic on 5th February 2020, and, as for the section of I B category state road no.35, Kladovo - Brza Palanka, heavy maintenance works are in progress in the length of 23.26 km. The works are being carried out within the Road Rehabilitation and Safety Project - RRSP and they are financed from the EIB (European Investment Bank) loan and domestic funds as well.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Zorana Mihajlović said that 120 km of roads were completed thanks to the Serbian Government which enabled a stable budget and announced the deliverance of future projects:
„The construction of fast roads is about to happen in this region, towards Golubac, Donji Milanovac and Kladovo. We need that if we wish to develop tourism in this part of Serbia.
Mihajlović has emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure, because it has an impact on the development of economy, further economic progress and GNP growth.
