The Department for Internal Control of Toll Collection Supervision and Automatic Data Processing continuously monitors the work processes and operations of the Department for Toll Collection Supervision within the Sector for Toll Collection and the Department for Data Processing within the Sector for Traffic Management Information Systems. It provides professional support in initiating corrective actions to eliminate identified deficiencies and irregularities, prepares recommendations for improving work processes based on the findings of regular and extraordinary inspections, and proposes measures aimed at optimizing operations, ensuring the efficient use of resources, defining the appropriate engagement of competent and motivated employees, and establishing an effective organizational structure.
The Department’s staff perform complex supervisory and inspection activities through direct oversight of toll collection supervision processes and toll collection data processing activities, as well as through the analysis of IT-generated and documentary materials related to toll collection. In carrying out these duties, they adhere to the principles of objectivity, accountability and continuity throughout the verification process, thereby contributing to the uninterrupted operation of the organizational units under review, by making use of available equipment that enables faster inspection procedures and enhances the reliability of the obtained results.
The Department’s annual activities are defined by the Annual Business Plan and include conducting regular inspections, preparing inspection reports, reviewing the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions identified in previous internal control reports, carrying out extraordinary inspections, cooperating with other organizational units and external stakeholders, participating in the preparation of general and internal regulations of “Putevi Srbije”, attending and delivering professional training and instructional seminars, as well as performing all other tasks assigned by the Director or initiated by the Directors of the Sector for Toll Collection and the Sector for Traffic Management Information Systems.
