"PUTEVI SRBIJE" AT THE PRODEXPO SERBIA 2026 CONFERENCE

The 11th Prodexpo Serbia 2026 | Real Estate and Infrastructure Development conference, one of the most important regional forums dedicated to the development of real estate, infrastructure and investments, was held on May 19, 2026 at the "Metropol Palace" hotel in Belgrade, organized by the company "TGI Group International".

The focus of this year's conference was on key topics shaping the future development of Serbia:

  • infrastructure as a generator of economic development,
  • infrastructure projects and the development of new investment zones,
  • the impact of transport corridors on urbanization and decentralization of development,
  • the emergence of new development corridors and secondary urban centers,
  • the impact of infrastructure investments on real estate values and long-term market development.

Miodrag Poledica, Assistant Director of "Putevi Srbije" and Director of the Sector for Strategy, Design and Development, participated as a panelist at this year's conference and spoke about the importance of infrastructure investments as drivers of economic and urban development, as well as their impact on the real estate market and future investment flows in Serbia.

Director Poledica emphasized that the goal of "Putevi Srbije" is to connect the interior of Serbia with modern road infrastructure, but also to further connect Serbia with the region, recalling the strategic goal of connecting with neighboring countries through a network of motorways.

He emphasized the importance of the Belgrade Bypass and the "Miloš Veliki" motorway, which connect three Belgrade municipalities - Novi Beograd, Surčin and Obrenovac, with each other but also with the capital, thus connecting the entire Western Serbia, from Ub, through Lajkovac, Valjevo and Čačak, to Požega.

The completion of the motorway and expressway Ruma-Šabac-Loznica has connected the Mačva District, the construction of the Morava Corridor has significantly improved the connectivity of Central Serbia, and the completion of the remaining sections, via Kraljevo to Čačak, is expected to fully connect this part of the country in terms of infrastructure, while the construction of the Kragujevac and Užice bypass, as well as the completion of the Kuzmin-Sremska Rača motorway section, will enable better connectivity with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The construction of a modern road network is the basis for attracting investments, economic development and balanced regional development," concluded Poledica, adding that the most visible effects of the construction of modern roads are a significant reduction in travel time while simultaneously raising traffic safety to the highest level.
