Visiting works on construction of motorway E-763 section Preljina - Požega

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović visited today, 11th June, 2021, together with the Acting Director of the PE “Roads of Serbia“, Zoran Drobnjak and the Contractor’s representatives, a section of the motorway “Miloš Veliki“.

“We have excavated one of the tunnels in the settlement Trbušani, people work in two shifts, each lasting ten hours a day and there is no stopping. We don’t make any compromises and we do not make any speculations when it comes to the work schedule”, said Minister Momirović.

The motorway section from Preljina to Požega is 30.2 km long and is one of the most difficult ones being built in Serbia, because there are three tunnels, 35 bridges, four overpasses and two complete interchanges which will enable traffic relief for the Čačak bypass.

“Traffic congestions at the toll station in Preljina, as well as on the Čačak bypass, will soon be a thing of the past. The completion of this section will additionally relieve traffic on the Ibar Highway and the number of traffic accidents will be reduced", Minister Momirović added.

He stressed that motorways would soon be a basic communication line connecting all parts of the country.

“When the section to Požega is completed, we will continue the works further on towards Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina. When all these projects are completed, Serbia will not be the same country any more", Momirović concluded.
