ROADS OF SERBIA: 19,555,869 VEHICLES ON SERBIAN MOTORWAYS

PE “Roads of Serbia” is informing that during the summer season, period June-August, the total of 19,555,869 vehicles have travelled on Serbian motorways.

Traffic flow rate for the period June-August has seen an increase of 33.8% in comparison with the same period last year, while in comparison with 2019, the number of vehicles has been increased by 12.1%.

The increased number of vehicles passing through the Republic of Serbia this summer has brought increased income from tolling, amounting to 10,322,418,117.99 dinars, which represents an increase of 39.54% in comparison with last year, i.e. 22.63% in comparison with the same period of 2019.

The increased traffic flow rate did not cause delays on any of the 65 toll stations in the Republic of Serbia, thanks to the organization of work in accordance with the summer season and increased traffic flow.

We had a record number of vehicles on certain toll stations, such as the record on the largest frontal toll station Belgrade, where in three weekend days (30th July – 1st August 2021) 215,186 vehicles passed, which represents the largest number of vehicles passing through this toll station since its opening.

Similar records have been noted on the toll stations Stara Pazova, Preljina, Obrenovac…

Beside the good preparation and organization of work in the PE “roads of Serbia”, passing through toll stations without stopping has also been aided by the constant trend of purchasing electronic toll collection devices, used by more than 500,000 people at this moment.
