PE “Roads of Serbia“ is appealing to traffic participants to be particularly cautious during driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions since, according to the warning issued by the Republic Hydrometeorological Service, today, 10th January, 2021, increase of the amount of snowfall is expected, with even higher rate by tomorrow morning, 11th January, 2021.
Rising of snowfall level by 20 to 40 cm is expected in mountainous regions, especially in southwestern Serbia and in the Homolji region in the east.
Also, according to the warning, the increase of the amount of snowfall by 10 to 25 cm is expected in the lowlands, locally even more, except in Vojvodina, where light precipitation (from 5 to 10 cm) is expected, and the far south of Serbia, where both snow and rain will occur, with rain turning into ice on the ground.
Lower levels of precipitation are expected on Monday, 11th January, 2021, in the morning and during mid-day.
We advise drivers to obey the speed limits and drive carefully, and also use winter tyres and adapt their speed to the winter conditions on the road.
