Minister Tomislav Momirović opened the Fourth Serbian Congress on Roads

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, opened on June 2, 2022. in Belgrade, the Fourth Serbian Congress on Roads and announced that a total of 16 new highways and expressways will be built in Serbia.

"We are at the peak of the investment wave in the construction of road traffic infrastructure in Serbia." "In the last 10 years, we have built nearly 400 kilometers of highways and expressways, which makes us stand shoulder to shoulder with the developed countries of Western Europe," said Momirović, opening the Congress on Roads at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Belgrade.

The Minister pointed out that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, set a clear task before the members of the Government, and that is the construction of an economically stronger Serbia, networked with the most modern highways and fast roads. "The priorities of the ministry I am heading are the same, and that is building a modern Serbia on the foundations of the most modern infrastructure", said Momirović.

The main topics of the two-day, Fourth Serbian Congress on Roads are: planning and design, new technologies, management, construction and maintenance of roads, efficiency and safety of road traffic, sustainable development and environmental protection.

Representatives of road companies, domestic and foreign experts in the field of civil engineering, transport and IT sectors and other areas of the road economy are participating in the work of the congress. Experts from the PE "Roads of Serbia" participate in the work of the congress with several papers.

The organizers of the Fourth Serbian Congress on Roads are the Serbian Road Association "Via-Vita" and the PE "Roads of Serbia".
