MINISTER MOMIROVIĆ VISITED THE WORKS ON SECTOR 6 OF THE BELGRADE BYPASS

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, together with the project leader and representative of the Employer - PE Roads of Serbia, Aleksandar Kostadinović, as well as with the contractors’ representatives, visited today the works on Sector 6 of the Belgrade Bypass, from the tunnel Straževica to the interchange Bubanj Potok.

On this occasion, Minister Momirović expressed satisfaction with the progress of works on the Bypass and emphasized that we are approaching completion of works since there is only one section left to be completed.

Aleksandar Kostadinović, the representative of the PE Roads of Serbia, pointed out that after finishing and opening to traffic Sectors 4 and 5, all resources are directed to the completion of Sector 6.

„We have directed almost all of our available resources to this Sector so that it could be completed as soon as possible. We have faced several key problems, but we are working intensively on their solving. High temperatures have slightly slowed down the pace of work, but the construction process has never been interrupted“, Kostadinović said.

Once the Belgrade Bypass is completed, the positive effects of diversion of traffic from the overloaded basic network of Belgrade roads to the Bypass will be felt.
