ROADS OF SERBIA: “DO NOT DRIVE IN EMERGENCY LANE, DO NOT STOP LIFE”

The PE Roads of Serbia continues to carry out the activities related to improving road traffic safety, and systematically works to raise awareness of traffic participants.

Through the educational campaign “Do not drive in emergency lane, do not stop life”, the PE Roads of Serbia intends to influence the behavior of traffic participants on the motorways, and make them conscious of the importance and utilization of the emergency lane.

This campaign is carried out to improve the behavior of drivers who use the motorway emergency lane improperly and aims to change their behavior to ensure that this lane is free for the movement of high-priority vehicles.

Did you know?

  • In the Republic of Serbia more than 500 persons lose their lives in traffic accidents annually;
  • Serbia has lost more than 120 persons in traffic accidents on motorways for the past three years;
  • For the past five years, more than 20 lives have been lost in the emergency lane.

Guided by assumption that road accidents may be prevented, the PE Roads of Serbia will systematically work to raise the awareness of traffic participants.

The main goal of educational campaigns is raising awareness about road deaths, i.e. drawing the public attention to the importance and possibility to improve the level of road traffic safety, as well as decreasing the level of death rates through education of every traffic participant.

The PE Roads of Serbia is appealing to every type of media and expert community to support this activity and get involved in promotion of the campaign for the purpose of reducing the number of traffic accidents and saving lives.
