ROADS OF SERBIA: „TRAFFIC SIGN MEANS LIFE“

PE “Roads of Serbia” continues with the activities regarding the improvement of traffic safety and, as a system, has an impact on the increase of the traffic participants’ awareness level.

Using the educational campaign „Traffic Sign Means Life“, the PE “Roads of Serbia” wishes to point out the impact of the damaged and stolen traffic signage and equipment on traffic safety and appeals to all those demolishing, stealing or damaging the traffic signage in some way, not to do that, because that would prevent traffic accidents.

The campaign indicates the significance and role of traffic signage and equipment and the possible consequences of demolition and theft.

Did you know?

  • Over 25,000 traffic signs and (equipment) parts have been damaged or stolen on the Republic of Serbia roads in the last 4 years;
  • The value of the traffic signage and equipment stolen and damaged in the last 5 years is over one million euros;

Led by the thesis that traffic accidents can be prevented, the PE “Roads of Serbia” will act as a system to raise the traffic participants' awareness. For this purpose, an educational video and a radio spot have been prepared, as well as social network posts, flyers and posters.

The primary goal of educational campaigns is to raise awareness concerning the issue of road fatalities, i.e., bringing the public's attention to the significance and possibilities for improving the traffic safety level and reducing the number of road fatalities through education of all traffic participants.

PE “Roads of Serbia” appeals to all media and professional communities to support the campaign and join its promotion to reduce the number of traffic accidents and save people’s lives.
