APPEAL OF THE PUBLIC ENTERPRISE “ROADS OF SERBIA”

The PE “Roads of Serbia” appeals to all traffic participants to be especially cautious when driving and adapt their speed to the road conditions, since the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia warns that on February 1 - 3, 2022, colder days with sporadic snow and formation/increase of snow cover are expected on south-east, south and south-west parts of the country.

According to this warning, formation of snow cover from 5 to 15 cm is expected in lower regions south of rivers Sava and Danube, and from 15 to 25 cm in hilly and mountainous regions, and locally even more, while in the north combined precipitation such as rain, sleet and snow may occur.

In the territory of Belgrade, as of Friday, February 4, 2022, the Republic Hydrometeorlogical Service of Serbia states that cloudy and cold weather, occasionally with weak mixed precipitation such as rain, sleet and snow may be expected.  Formations of smaller  snow covers which are expected to be from 2 to 5 cm in lower parts of the city, and 5 to 10 cm in higher parts, may occur.

Drivers are advised to obey speed limits and drive carefully, as well as to use winter tires and adapt their speed to the winter road conditions.
